Born on June 29, 1995, in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Budzik and his family moved to Connecticut where attended Cromwell High School. He was a standout shortstop for the Panthers under Coach Lew Pappariella from 2011 to 2013. Budzik was a key player in capturing the 2012 State Championship and in his senior year was named All-Shoreline Conference, team captain and Most Valuable Player. He matriculated to Eastern Connecticut State University and played infield for the Warriors. In the summer of 2014, he led RCP Post 105 to the American Legion World Series. Budzik took his talents to the Futures Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2015 and 2016 as shortstop of the Bristol Blues. After graduating from ECSU in 2017 he became Assistant Coach with the Bristol Blues. Soon thereafter, he was hired as a Special Education Assistant at Cromwell High School and appointed Head Coach of the varsity baseball team. Budzik currently resides in Cromwell and is seeking a masters in Special Education at St. Joseph’s University.
