Kevin Powell

Born on December 14, 1959, Kevin Powell grew up in Brooklyn, New York and attended St. Francis Prep. There he earned a City Championship and was recruited to play at Iona College. He later became player-manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers Baseball Club in the New York City Baseball League. Powell was the 1985 recipient of the league’s Walter Alston Memorial Award given for dedication to the game, on and off the field. He moved north to Connecticut and was a member of the Vernon Orioles under Frank McCoy (1990-1994). Powell now returns in 2021 as Assistant General Manager in support of Orioles manager Jack Ceppetelli. Powell currently resides in Coventry, CT with wife Karen and daughter Kristen.

A.J. Lorenzetti

Born on July 11, 1997 in Bristol, Connecticut. Lorenzetti has represented Bristol baseball for the last two decades. Starting out in McCabe Waters Little League, he eventually played for Bristol Central High School. Then he enrolled at St. Paul Catholic High School where he was named Naugatuck Valley League All-Conference in 2015. In the summer, he played catcher for Bristol’s American Legion program from 2014 through 2016. Lorenzetti joined the Bristol Greeners of the Tri-State Baseball League in 2016 and took over as manager in 2017. He was named a Tri-State League All-Star three times and won the league batting title (.507 AVG) in 2018. Lorenzetti earned a Mechanical Engineering degree in 2019 from the University of Connecticut. Upon graduation, he was hired as a Project Engineer and Logistics Analyst at Collins Aerospace, while pursuing a Master of Engineering Degree in Data Science at UConn. Lorenzetti resides in Bristol and was integral to entering the Greeners into the GHTBL in 2021.
